African Cosmos

I was able to take photos of just the entry way piece to the exhibit "African Cosmos" at the Newark Museum. As Docents we were privileged to receive training by the Curator of the National Museum of African Art, part of the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., and the artist, Romuald Hazoume, who created the "Rainbow Serpent" by using plastic gasoline cans. Some photos are a slightly out of focus because I had to use long exposures, no flash, and handheld.

Grounds for Sculpture - Part 1

First set of photos taken with the Panasonic, until the battery went dead. I'd just returned from a 5-day Newark Museum trip to San Antonio late the night before, so my "battery" was exhausted as well!
