Are You #2000?

Just noticed...I've had 1999 visitors to my blog! Are you #2000? No...no prize to be awarded, but it would be fun to get a comment from you, whoever you are!

More Lesson #5 - The House That Beer Built!

A few intimate spaces in the Ballantine House. Before any docents (and the curator) have a fit...yes, the instructor had permission for the photography class to take photos...WITHOUT FLASH!
Mrs. Ballantine's boudoir over looking Washington Street. Tea anyone?

The family dining room set for a formal dinner. Yes, those are the original chairs.

Lesson #5 - Interior - No Flash Allowed!

How to use a tripod....well, I would if I could figure out how to attach my camera securely! Instead, I got up close and braced myself. Of course, I'm not posting the blurry long shots!

What I Learned From Roberto.....

LESSON #1
Become familiar with your camera. No, I didn't drink that many cups of Steve's coffee...I found a setting on my camera I didn't know I had!

LESSON #2
Get close to your subject! This is the sculpture on the steps leading into the Museum. Loved that blue! I know, I should crop some more, but I love every blue pixel in the picture.

So that's what ISO, RAW, & TIFF Mean!

Just spent 4 days in a Digital Photography class with 8 other photographers and an excellent instructor. So how do you get great photos.....Practice, Practice, Practice! Covered a lot of stuff..composition, lighting, read your manual! Uploading, downloading, saving, and printing. Now it's back to the real world, so I'll post some of the photos later.
