Yellow Eyes...Yellow Leaves

Enjoying running through the last of the Autumn Leaves on Long Island. What a beautiful display on a lovely, warm, Thanksgiving Day.

A View From Riverbank State Park

It was a beautiful Fall afternoon in Harlem. Unfortunately, no photos were allowed at the most interesting events...a gospel service at Kelly's Temple, and Dance & Music at the Dance Theatre of Harlem.
What a pleasant surprise...the Riverbank State Park at 145th Street with great views, and a restaurant that could be a great place for dinner with a view.

Security Gate Art DSC02469

"Franco the Great" the Harlem Picasso, paints murals on the metal security gates in front of the shops on 125th Street. This is just a small snippet of one. Like most bus trips, there was little time to take photos. You can see many of the gates on his website Of course, they are only visible when the shops are closed, so Sunday morning is the best time to see them.

One of the photos I posted on flickr was selected to appear in an internet guidebook on Philadelphia. Of course, the entire "widget" had to be posted, so you need to go the section of photos on Benjamin Franklin to find my photo. It's a close up of a bronze statue of Ben.
Unless you are planning a trip to Philadelphia, just go to Section 4 and click on photos.

Just in case this is too much bother, I'll just post a copy of the Ben Franklin photo.

Umbrella - Not Just for Rain DSC_0041

Got a chance to use my new Nikon D80 at a 2-day workshop on using light! Learned a lot, but unless you're a pro, much too much equipment and space needed for studio lighting. The info about how light works, filtered, natural, bounced, etc. will be helpful in any case. Fun 2 days...with a bunch of nice people.
