Homage to Henri (Cartier-Bresson)

I was so impressed by first, the Henri Cartier-Bresson MOMA exhibit (recently closed), and then the documentary I got from Netflix "Henri Cartier-Bresson: The Impassioned Eye." I went through my photos from everywhere, converted some to Black & White, and tried to select those that demonstrate that "click moment" in time.

Life Is Good!

A few of my favorite things, right in front of me on the cocktail table in the living room...my Nikon D80, a glass of wine, sourdough bread, nut-studded cheese, and a juicy red peach!

And oh, yes...took the photo with aother favorite ... Fuji P&S!

With the temperature reaching 106 degrees, it was too hot to get dressed and leave the apartment....so I played with my sandal stash and added to the "My Left Foot" series.

With the tight budgets this year, many of the local towns skipped the usual fireworks display, which I can usually see right from the 14th floor terrace. These were quite a distance away, so I had to do some heavy duty cropping. Also, Picasa arbitrarily duplicated 2 of the pieces to show an even 15.
