Planned on going with Thomy on Friday, August 9th...but both of us were not feeling up to facing the crowds, even though as a member I would get priority entry. Good thing....it turned out there was a 3 hour wait on line outside (going into Central Park), followed by a 2 hour wait inside! The crush was so bad, the Museum had to give up on honoring membership priority entrance. No way we could have stood for 5 hours before even seeing the show. I ordered the book "Savage Beauty" from Amazon and I'll have to be content to seeing the pictures and viewing this video. What a beautiful fantasy in fashion!

Going back to Santa Fe for a painting trip in about a week, so I went back to the photos from the May 2011 trip. Fond memories of a great experience, in spite of the now unexpected airport delays on the trip to Santa Fe, and a postponed departure on May 1st because of a snow!
