This was one of the places visited on the Museum tour, The Best of Newark. It was part of the decor of a 1908 House in the Forest Hills neighborhood.

Again inspired by the photography/video show at the Newark Museum, India: Public Places/Private Spaces, I put 4 different versions of this photo into a collage. The subject is the Indian Designer/Dancer Meera Mahadevia who danced the pre-luncheon prayer at the India Chic event.

Meera Mahadevia, Designer and Dancer, performed offering prayers before we all ate the delicious and beautiful lunch. I had to use the zoom because I was in the outermost row of tables, so the sharpness is not there, but this is still my favorite photo. I modified it using lomography on dumpr.net.
