Up on the Roof - with Sol
After Van Gogh, I took the elevator to the roof of the Met. By then it was nearly 8:00 p.m., the sun had set, and they were packing up the bar. There were still a few romantics up there sipping martinis and looking at the sparkling city backdrop. Sol LeWitt's installation "Splotches, Whirls and Twirls" was described by a reviewer as "the melting remains of a Popsicle forest." What do you think? Creamsicle Martini anyone?
