Why I Didn't Go To Brussels!

 

This picture postcard view from my 14th floor window is the reason Newark Airport was closed, and my 6:30 pm flight to Brussels on Monday, December 27th, was canceled around 1:30 pm.  Just a half-hour before the limo to the airport was scheduled to pick us up!  American Airlines couldn't reschedule the flight out until Sunday, January 2nd, so the entire trip was canceled.  Looking forward to New Year's Eve in exotic NJ, watching the Times Square Ball go down on the TV. 

Yes, that is a snowdrift on my windowsill, but of course, it didn't stack up that high...just piled up by the wind.
